U.S. President Donald Trump imposed new tariffs, ranging from 10 to 41 percent, on dozens of trading partners, which took effect on Thursday. CGTN host Tian Wei spoke to Yuqing Xing, professor of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo. Professor Xing pointed out that the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" lack economic logic. He commented that the U.S. is using its power to pressure other countries while demanding that they do not retaliate. "This is not reciprocity, but chaos," he said.
