The Chinese wartime film "Dead to Rights" is a historical drama that tells the true story of Chinese civilians who risked their lives to preserve photographic evidence of Japanese war crimes during the occupation of Nanjing, defying both military censorship and propaganda.
This video clip shows a quarrel between the characters Wang Guanghai and Lin Yuxiu. Lin refuses to become a traitor, believing that the Japanese are brutal and will never treat Chinese people as human beings. Wang, however, argues that everyone is already dead and that there is no one left to fight the Japanese.
