This trailer for "Dongji Rescue" captures a moment when courage triumphed over fear. In 1942, a Japanese cargo ship carrying 1,816 British prisoners of war was struck near Dongji Island, in east China's Zhejiang Province. As the vessel sank, Japanese forces attempted to trap the prisoners below deck, sending them to a watery grave. Unarmed Chinese fishermen, defying gunfire and danger, set out to sea to save their lives – showing the world the courage and compassion of the Chinese people.
