China routed Cambodia 7-0 in Yinchuan, southwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Friday, securing their second straight win in Group E at the 2026 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-20 Women's Asian Cup qualifying tournament.
Lu Jiayu scored a brace of headers with goals in the 7th and 14th minutes, giving China a 2-0 lead at halftime. After the interval, Wang Aifang curled in a free kick, Zheng Lu finished from close range, Zhang Yiqian added two more, and Xiao Yafei scored in stoppage time to seal the win.
China head coach Colin Bell noted that after establishing a 2-0 lead, the team's performance in the first half was unacceptable, but said that in the second half, the team had displayed their expected strength and energy.
Earlier, in Group E, Lebanon defeated Syria 2-1.
The qualifiers comprise eight groups, with group winners and three best-performing runners-up advancing to the tournament finals.
China will face Lebanon in their final group match on Sunday.
