The wetland that unfolds like a painting

A unique landscape unfolds in Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park, one of China's best-preserved natural wetlands and a nationally rated 4A scenic site in Deqing County, Huzhou City, in China's eastern coastal province of Zhejiang.

With countless winding waterways connecting hundreds of lush islands and islets to create a living landscape, it unfolds like a watercolor painting in motion.

More than 800 species, including the endangered crested ibis, thrive in this rich ecosystem. It's a place where nature breathes freely and humans coexist peacefully with the wild. If you ever find yourself in Deqing, a walk through the park is well worth your while.
