A Danish viewer's reflection: Remembering and forgiving

02:56

Miko from Denmark shares his heartfelt thoughts after watching the Chinese film "Dead To Rights" in China. The movie takes viewers back to December 13, 1937 — the fall of Nanjing — and the tragic loss of 300,000 civilians and unarmed soldiers in just six weeks.

Miko recalls Denmark's own "freedom fighters" and the unity of Allied forces during World War II. He urges the younger generation to remember the sacrifices and courage of the past, but also to forgive — for hatred will only lead to more wars.

A heartfelt message and a strong appeal for peace.
