Deqing County in east China's Zhejiang Province has set its sights on becoming a world-class rural tourism destination. Rooted in rich cultural heritage and shaped by an open, international outlook, Deqing is integrating culture and tourism in innovative ways. 

Mocun Hotel is a prime example. Once a mountain retreat built by French expatriate Christophe Peres, it has been revitalized by a team of young designers who preserved its rustic charm while incorporating modern craftsmanship and refined details.
