Eighty-two years ago, during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a small unit of just 82 Chinese soldiers stood their ground in east China's Jiangsu Province, facing an enemy dozens of times their size. Retreat meant survival. Holding their position meant certain death. So, what did they choose?
