Infrastructure development in Xizang: Roads to happiness, prosperity

Stretching for almost 2,000 kilometers from Xining in northwest China's Qinghai Province to Lhasa in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, the Qinghai-Xizang Railway, the world's highest railway, is a miracle created by China at the "roof of the world."

Carrying the dream of the Chinese nation, the railway has witnessed tremendous changes in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, and has driven the rapid economic and social development of the two regions.
