Young people are building businesses in the mountains

In Anji, Zhejiang Province, a young woman came home to start a business — not by bringing in something new, but by reviving something old. Instead of chasing trends, she looked to her childhood for inspiration: the bamboo forests she played in, the animals she grew up with, the village paths she once ran along. She planted hydrangeas beneath the bamboo canopy, making use of the cool, shaded space. She opened a small farm where kids from the city can encounter chickens, ducks, and rabbits for the first time. She carved out a walking trail into the hills, inviting others to experience the same joy she once found in the forest.
