This year, which marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, has brought renewed attention to the 13th International Comfort Women Memorial Day. Observed annually on August 14, the day was jointly established by civil groups in South Korea, China, Japan, and other countries in 2012 to commemorate the victims of the Japanese military's wartime sexual slavery system during World War II.
CGTN interviews two experts who dedicated to history of "comfort women," they also organized different conversations between young people and saying “it's important to educate them on the history of Japanese occupations.”
