Eighty years after WWII, Japanese scholar Matsuno Seiya has handed over a collection of historical photos documenting Japanese war crimes during the invasion of Guangdong in 1938. Bombed-out cities, shattered lives, but also resistance that still rings out today in the slogans of the era: “Drive out the invaders,” “Arm the entire nation.”
