Longyangxia Gorge, located in Gonghe County in northeastern Qinghai Province, narrows to just 30 meters at its mouth while stretching 33 kilometers in length. In 1976, local authorities picked this site for the construction of the Longyangxia Hydropower Station. In addition to power generation, the station also plays a crucial role in flood control, ice jam prevention, irrigation, and aquaculture development. These photos were taken by CGTN reporters in Gonghe County, Qinghai Province in March, 2024.
