Humanoid robots clad in the signature terracotta army suits of armor move to the beat of battle drums alongside a human dancer from Beijing Dance Academy.

The unique human-machine "Spirit of the Terracotta Warriors”performance wowed at the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing. 

Dance costume designers and robot engineers worked together on the bot suits utilizing 3D-printing tech to ensure the mechanical warriors' flexibility and battery life. 

The piece was first performed in the 1990s by renowned Chinese dancer Huang Doudo.
