The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is not just a platform for diplomacy and economy; it's also a fertile ground for youth initiatives, science, and education. Dastan Karypbaev is a student at Kyrgyz National University. At the Fourth SCO Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, earlier this year, his innovative project stood out and even received an award. The inspiration for the project, however, came from his childhood experiences growing up in a village plagued by frequent power outages.
