Regarding the new developments in the Ukraine crisis, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said Monday that China's position on the Ukraine crisis has been consistent and clear. She said that from the first day of the crisis, Beijing has maintained an objective and impartial position and has insisted on promoting peace talks.

She also said China is willing to continue playing a constructive role in the political resolution of the crisis together with the international community, in accordance with the wishes of the parties involved.
