Stringer Dispatch: Gaza residents defend their homeland amid hunger, siege and educational disruption

On August 17, the Israeli military announced plans to push further into Gaza City and move residents southward, providing tents and supplies ahead of a planned operation to take control of the city. This action has received widespread condemnation from the international community.

CGTN stringer in Gaza took to the streets of Khan Yunis to interview several residents, who described the difficulties they are currently facing and their views on the actions of the Israeli military. Resident Hassan Qadih stated, "Gaza is our land. No matter what they do, we remain steadfast in our homeland." Most of his children have missed several years of schooling, with the youngest missing two years of kindergarten, but he firmly believes that after the war ends, the children will be able to finish their education and fulfill their dreams.
