As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary, Beijing-based American vlogger Robbie Swain shared his reflections on ocean conservation. He noted that oceans cover over 70 percent of the planet and are essential to climate regulation and biodiversity, and supporting human livelihoods. He added that while the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) has raised global awareness, continued efforts are necessary because ocean conservation is a shared responsibility and key to a healthy future for all.
