Eighty years ago, fascism drove the world into the abyss of war and hatred. Today, standing at the crossroads of past and present, Christian Wagner, a young German, poses a question as urgent as it is timeless: Have we truly learned the lessons of mutual respect and understanding? On his journey through rural China, Wagner encountered a reality far removed from certain portrayals in the Western press – children nurtured with care, elders respected and supported, villages alive with laughter and a strong sense of community. Through his eyes, we are invited to look beyond the walls of bias, to see a world not as we are told it is, but as it truly exists – vibrant, human, and full of shared dignity.
