Beijing Guoan crushed Yunnan Yukun 7-0 at home in the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup semifinals on Wednesday night, advancing to the title match against Henan, with that contest scheduled for December 5.
Fabio Abreu opened the scoring for the hosts in the 26th minute. Five minutes later the forward was fouled by defender Andrei Burca, who was sent off with a red card, leaving Yukun with just 10 men.
Wang Gang and Guga added two more goals for Guoan before halftime, both set up by Sai Erjiniao, increasing the home side's advantage to 3-0.
The Capital Club continued to dominate in the second half. Between the 74th and 78th minutes, Lin Liangming, Jiang Wenhao, Zhang Xizhe, and Zhang Yuning netted four goals. Zhang Yuning set up two before firing in the final strike himself to seal the huge win for Beijing.
Guoan reached the Chinese FA Cup Final for the first time in seven years. Back in 2018, the Capital Club defeated Shandong Taishan across two legs on away goals to win the tournament for the fourth time. Now they will look to increase that total to five against Henan in this season's final in Suzhou.
