This year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Xizang Autonomous Region. Xizang's economy has witnessed solid and steady growth over the past 60 years, and the livelihoods of the region's people have greatly improved. In 2024, Xizang's GDP surged to 276.5 billion yuan (around $38 billion) from 327 million yuan in 1965.
