This year marks the 80th anniversary of China's victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Eighty years ago, nations across the world set aside differences in ideology, race and belief to unite against the forces of aggression, paving the way for a more peaceful future.
Yu Peng, director of the Chinese documentary "Mountains and Rivers Bearing Witness," emphasized that this historic unity reminds us that humanity shares a common destiny even in times of peace. "If every nation, every race and every ideology truly recognizes this idea, we may at least minimize the chances of war erupting again."
