The Lugou Bridge, also known as the Marco Polo Bridge, stands in Beijing's Fengtai District. On July 7, 1937, it became the site of the Lugou Bridge Incident, marking the start of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. Once a vital transport route and the site of fierce conflict, this 12th-century arched stone bridge is now a protected cultural relic and enduring symbol of resilience in Chinese history.
