As China advances toward its Second Centenary Goal, Xizang Autonomous Region has entered a new stage of modernization. China is implementing a comprehensive strategy to build a prosperous, stable and beautiful Xizang, according to Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Wang made the remarks at the grand gathering in Lhasa marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Xizang Autonomous Region.

The leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) remains the fundamental guarantee for the development of Xizang, Wang said. All levels of Party organizations in Xizang will strengthen political cohesion, ensure alignment with the CPC Central Committee, and enhance governance through reform and strict discipline.

National security and long-term stability are top priorities. Xizang will uphold the rule of law, improve social governance and resolutely combat separatism. Xizang has been an inseparable part of China since ancient times, and any external interference or attempt to split the country will fail, Wang said.

Ethnic unity is the cornerstone of progress. Efforts will continue to foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and promote exchanges among ethnic groups. The traditional spirit of Xizang will inspire people to jointly protect the homeland and build a harmonious society.

Xizang will pursue high-quality development by upgrading infrastructure, boosting distinctive industries and integrating into the national development pattern. Green development is a priority, including protecting the plateau's ecosystem to ensure blue skies, clean water and lush land.

People's well-being remains the goal. Poverty alleviation achievements will be consolidated, rural revitalization promoted and urban-rural coordination strengthened. With strong support from the central government and nationwide assistance, combined with local efforts, Xizang will advance toward common prosperity.
