Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President's Office, has said that Kyiv has no plans to hold a referendum on enshrining into its constitution any territorial concessions to Russia, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Thursday.
"No, we are not doing this, and at the moment we do not intend to cede any part of our land," Yermak said when asked whether a referendum on amending the constitution to recognize the Russian control of some territories was being considered.
He noted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statement that all territorial issues would be discussed at a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Ukraine acknowledges the situation created by the conflict and wants to discuss it, but the country will not accept any ultimatums, Yermak stressed.
