Reporters from 16 major media outlets across nine Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia and Thailand, toured south China's Hainan Free Trade Port from August 18 to 24. A joint interview and seminar, titled "The China Walk: Vibrant Hainan Event," covered the cities of Sanya, Qionghai, Wanning and Lingshui in Hainan. At Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, journalists visited China's first circular wave basin, which simulates wind, waves and currents for marine technology testing.
