Harris Chrysanthou is a research technical scientist at the Cyprus Institute, with a master's degree in global manufacturing from China's Tsinghua University. At Cyprus' largest testbed for new renewable energy technologies, PROTEAS, Chrysanthou implements his research by testing solutions under the tough conditions of the Mediterranean. From 2021 to 2024, Chrysanthou mentored over 600 students from 30 countries in launching tech startups tackling social and environmental problems. "The greatest solutions don't always start in labs. They start with people working together across borders," he said.
