Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupted for the 31st time since December, sending lava fountains 30 meters into the air from its summit crater on Friday. The eruption remains contained within the crater, posing no threat to homes but drawing crowds to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and livestreams worldwide. Scientists say the episodes are part of the same ongoing eruption and note the pattern could resemble Kilauea's historic decades-long outburst that lasted until 2018.
