The China Coast Guard spokesperson, Gan Yu, said on Friday that the Philippines' grounded vessel No. 57 recently released two small boats that dangerously approached Chinese coast guard ships despite repeated warnings, prompting lawful and appropriate action by the CCG.
"We urge the Philippines to stop all infringements, provocations and false accusations. The China Coast Guard will continue to enforce the law in the waters of Ren'ai Jiao to firmly safeguard China's sovereignty and maritime rights," Gan said.
