Over 2,000 years ago, Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province was the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. Today, from the Xi'an Chanba International Port, the China-Europe Railway Express is carrying that legacy forward on steel tracks, linking China with Central Asia, Europe and beyond.
Many of the countries along these routes are also members or partners of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), making each train more than a shipment of goods; it's cooperation in motion. With CGTN's Merna Al Nasser on the ground, the video shows how Xi'an has become a leading hub for China's international trade and a vital platform for Belt and Road cooperation under the SCO framework.
