A United Nations monitoring body has officially declared famine in Gaza. It says the catastrophe could have been prevented had the entry of aid not been systematically blocked by Israel. This is the first time famine has been declared in the Middle East. "Because of the siege and famine, my daughter's health has deteriorated," a mother of a malnourished child told CGTN's Elina Al-Yazji.
