The "Bright Future of Humanity" global AI visual works call-for-submissions launch ceremony was held on Friday in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
In written remarks to the event, hosted by China Media Group (CMG) and the New York Film Academy (NYFA), CMG President Shen Haixiong said the event aims to explore the emotional resonance between humans and AI beyond coding and to envision a future of harmony and coexistence between the two.
This is an innovative practice in video production empowered by AI technology, an opportunity for dialogue among civilizations through AI and also a collaboration that connects global partners through AI, he said.
"As a responsible, world-class, and innovative mainstream media group, CMG is willing to take video as a bond and AI as a bridge, working with friends across the globe to advance AI development and governance, resist misuse and abuse, close the gap in artificial intelligence, and guide AI technology to remain people-centered and serve the good of humanity," Shen added.

In his video address, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng said that the integration of visual works and AI sparks creativity and opens up new possibilities. As major countries in both AI and visual works, China and the U.S. should join hands in this regard for mutual progress, enhance exchanges between enterprises and human resources, and conduct joint research on technological breakthroughs to realize more groundbreaking goals in science, technology and art.

Sunny Calderon, vice president of NYFA, pointed out that every technological revolution has reshaped the art of storytelling. He emphasized that the NYFA has always seen AI not as a substitute but as a collaborator – one that can help artists expand their imagination and pursue ideas once thought impossible. This significant event encourages young creators to work with AI tools not just for novelty, but to explore the imagination of humanity, he noted.
