As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary in 2025, CGTN is joining global partners to launch the "One Home: Shared Future" Visual Storytelling Initiative, inviting young people worldwide to capture and share their vision for humanity's future.

Among the creators, some have chosen to express their perspectives through the lens, and here is the first collection of images they have showcased.

A Flock of Penguins on the Iceberg: On the Antarctic glaciers, a group of penguins struggles forward in the cold wind. Although they are small, they symbolize the tenacity of life. The moment when the camera captures their image, freezing them in motion, reminds us that global warming is accelerating the melting of glaciers, threatening the biodiversity of the Earth and the common future of humanity. Addressing the climate crisis is an important task of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and also a shared responsibility advocated by China's ecological civilization thought. Only by countries working together, upholding equality, mutual learning and cooperation, can we protect all living things, including penguins, and build a clean and beautiful home for the Earth. /Liu Peixuan

In the Name of Youth, a Tea-washed Canvas of Rural Renewal Unfolds: Young village leaders, in the name of youth, are painting a vibrant picture of rural revitalization through tea. They work deep in the tea mountains alongside farmers, from nurturing seedlings to harvesting leaves and preserving traditional craftsmanship to introducing modern technology. With the strength of their youth, they are driving the growth of the tea industry. On this land of hope, they lead by example, promoting green development and sustainable agriculture, fostering harmony between the economy and the environment. Their efforts not only advance rural revitalization but also align with the global vision of fairness and sustainable development, making the tea industry a new engine for rural progress and guiding villagers toward a prosperous and fulfilling future. /Deng Bang

Outdoor Graffiti of "Ne Zha 2": In the photos, citizens and tourists stroll through the streets and alleys of Guiyang, and visual elements from the "Ne Zha" film are integrated into the urban fabric in the form of street art. This integration model of "art + commerce + cultural tourism" offers a new perspective for the industrial innovation of IP images moving from the screen to offline scenarios. It not only enriches the urban cultural life but also promotes the sustainable development of the cultural industry, opening up new possibilities for cultural innovation and economic prosperity, and enabling the city to radiate more lasting vitality. /Zhang Kai

Snow Leopard: The snow leopard is a Class I protected species in China and a flagship animal of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau. Its survival reflects the overall health of the plateau's ecosystem. In 2025, the snow leopard population in China has steadily increased to between 4,500 and 5,000 individuals, accounting for more than 60 percent of the global total. Thanks to China's effective protection of the natural environment, its habitats continue to improve, leading to steady population growth and giving us more opportunities to observe these elusive creatures. Between 2023 and 2025, I photographed in Qinghai, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, and other regions, successfully sighting snow leopards over 100 times. I was able to capture precious moments of them hunting, resting, and raising their cubs. In this particular photograph, an adult female snow leopard has just awakened from her den and walks up the hillside, with sunlight spilling across her fur. Scenes like this vividly convey the power of nature and remind us that only by embracing the principle of harmony between humans and nature can we continue to improve our environment and look forward to a brighter future. /Ye Qing

Harbor of Mist: On an ordinary polar night in Murmansk, the North Atlantic Current heats the seawater temperature at 69°N to 3°C. As soon as the seawater evaporates, it immediately condenses into clouds and fog in the -15°C cold air. The huge ships moored in the port look like ghosts in the night fog. The frequent occurrence of extreme weather and the accelerated melting of Arctic glaciers remind people of the urgency of climate change. As a key factor in shaping several ice-free ports in Europe, the future of the North Atlantic Current not only concerns the lives of people in the polar regions but also reflects the challenges and opportunities faced by global climate governance and sustainable development. /Chen Zi

Hang the Clothes: At dusk, the clouds spread across the sky, casting a gentle halo over this small cottage with yellow walls. On the clothesline, the clothes of a family are neatly arranged, as if swaying gently, blending with the house and the sky. It is filled with the tranquility of daily life, turning ordinary days into a gentle poem, quietly telling the story of the tranquility of life. The warm scene and soft colors make me stop to record that happy moment. This not only depicts a beautiful picture of harmonious coexistence between man and nature but also reflects the global pursuit of a sustainable lifestyle. In every warm moment, the hope of guarding the future is conveyed. /Wang Jingbo

The Quiet King: Continuous snow-capped mountains, clear lakes and winding rivers outline the veins of life on Earth. Every inch of land praises the gifts of nature. The land is the common foundation we share, bearing the reproduction of civilization and the balance of the ecosystem. Protecting this magnificent land is not only a responsibility to protect nature but also an important manifestation of implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Development Initiative. Only in this way can every mountain, every drop of water, and every piece of land preserve this primitive and resilient beauty for future generations, because this is our common home. /Tian Yuxuan
