Editor's Note: Over the past 24 years, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has grown into the world's largest regional organization, now bringing together 10 member states, 2 observers, and 14 dialogue partners. Guided by the "Shanghai Spirit," it continues to expand cooperation to South Asia and West Asia, boosting markets and creating new opportunities for growth. Under its 2024–2025 presidency, China called for building a "common home" of solidarity, peace, prosperity, and justice, setting a clear course for the SCO in a new era. In this episode of Leaders Talk, CMG's He Yanke sat down with SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev ahead of the Tianjin Summit. He reflects on the organization's progress, highlights its strengths, and shares his insights on China's development.
