Chinese and Brazilian prosecutors discussed river basin management strategies during an August 20 online seminar organized by China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP). SPP Deputy Prosecutor General Zhang Xueqiao and Brazilian counterparts, including Deputy Prosecutor General Luiza Frischeisen and Supreme Court Chief Justice Antonio Benjamin, exchanged best practices in cross-border environmental governance. Zhang presented China's ecosystem-based approach using public interest litigation as an innovative solution for transnational challenges. The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation on technology-driven governance methods. The event commemorated 50 years of China-Brazil diplomatic relations and ongoing legal collaboration.
