Public transportation services are gradually resuming in south China's Hainan Province and parts of Guangdong Province as Kajiki, the 13th typhoon of the year, weakened on Monday.
Hainan's maritime department said on Monday afternoon that the authorities have decided to resume operations at Xinhai Port in Haikou, Xiuying Port and a railway port in Haikou at 6 p.m.

In addition, according to Sanya Phoenix International Airport, flight schedules have been adjusted as the airport resumes operations. The airport has suggested the travelers to stay updated on their flight status and plan their trips accordingly.
According to Zhanjiang's maritime bureau in Guangdong Province, the passenger and roll-on/roll-off ferries in the Qiongzhou Strait resumed operations at 6 p.m. on Monday.
As of noon on Monday, there were more than 5,000 trucks waiting to be ferried at Haikou in Hainan and Xuwen Port in Guangdong.
