Dwarkanath Kotnis was a member of the Indian Medical Mission sent to China in 1938. The young physician worked tirelessly on the frontlines, treating the wounded amid the ravages of war. Overworked and exhausted, Kotnis tragically passed away in 1942 at the age of just 32.
