China's top political advisory body concludes standing committee session

The Standing Committee of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee wrapped up its 13th session on Tuesday afternoon. 

The main focus of the session was drafting the country's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the closing meeting.

In his address, Wang urged political advisors to actively share their ideas and efforts toward the goal of basically achieving socialist modernization by 2035, as well as the social and economic development targets, major strategic tasks, reform measures, and construction projects outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). The meeting adopted a set of revised regulations on the proposal work of the CPPCC National Committee.

Earlier today, at the plenary session, 14 members of the CPPCC National Committee's Standing Committee delivered remarks on the session's topic, focusing on new quality productive forces, expanding domestic demand, and the integration of the digital economy and real economy, among other subjects.
