As part of CGTN's "One Home: Shared Future" campaign to mark the UN's 80th anniversary, Mohamed A. Kamara shares his "trash-for-cash" journey. He co-founded Freetown Innovation Lab to tackle Sierra Leone's 130,000 tons of annual waste through a circular solution. His social enterprise has already recycled 60 tons of waste, created 17 direct jobs, engaged over 50 waste collectors, and transformed trash into eco-friendly bins and furniture. His work supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals of Sustainable Cities and Communities and Responsible Consumption and Production.
