China's Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Finance have allocated subsidies of 540 million yuan (about $75.47 million) for road emergencies caused by flooding, the Ministry of Transport said on Wednesday.
Twenty-three provincial-level regions in China have suffered from flooding as a result of recent heavy rainfall. The flood damage to transportation infrastructure has led to the loss of over 16 billion yuan (around $2.24 billion), according to preliminary estimates.
