From the sweltering roads of the Bataan Peninsula in the Philippines to the jungle tracks of the Burma–Thailand Railway, two of World War Two's deadliest transport construction projects claimed tens of thousands of lives. We used AI and AR technologies to tell their story – one of cruelty, courage and the will to survive.
