2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the broader fight against fascism worldwide.

Alan Labat, Vice President of the New Franco-Chinese Institute, has long been committed to promoting cultural exchanges and economic cooperation between China and France. In this video, he recounts a trip to China a few years ago to the Exhibition Hall of Evidence of Crimes Committed by Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army in Harbin City.

"I can say that, even after having visited Nazi concentration camps in Europe, neither I nor my colleagues came out of that visit unscathed. We will never forget it," he stated. He also emphasized that while the European theater is an important part of French national history, what happened on the Asian battlefield also meant significant contributions and sacrifices during World War II.
