'Level Up for a Better Future': CGTN esports promo makes debut at EWC 2025

CGTN, in partnership with the CrossFire Professional League (CFPL), released a joint trailer titled "Level Up for a Better Future" at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

This promo, highlighting the esports spirit of resilience, courage, teamwork, and passion, was played repeatedly during the CrossFire grand finals, where China's AG.AL (All Gamers Anyone's Legend) won the first CrossFire championship and Baisha Gaming finished as the runner-up.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Saudi Arabia. Esports culture has become a bridge for promoting cross-cultural understanding, redefining how young people connect and build relationships. 

Today, China is home to 493 million esports enthusiasts, making it the world's largest user base. A recent report released at the 2025 Global Esports Conference shows that, from January to June 2025, China's esports industry revenue reached 12.76 billion yuan (approximately $1.78 billion), a year-on-year growth of 6.1 percent.
