Chinese trade envoy to visit U.S. after Canada trip: Commerce Ministry

Li Chenggang, China's international trade representative with the Ministry of Commerce and vice minister of commerce, will visit Washington after attending meetings in Canada later this month, China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Thursday.

From August 24 to 27, Li co-chaired the China-Canada Joint Economic and Trade Commission in Ottawa. After the visit, he will travel to the United States for talks with U.S. officials. 

The ministry stated that China is willing to work with the U.S. to fully utilize bilateral economic and trade consultation mechanisms, resolve issues through equal dialogue, and jointly maintain the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations.
