As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary in 2025, CGTN is joining global partners to launch the "One Home: Shared Future" Visual Storytelling Initiative, inviting young people worldwide to capture and share their vision for humanity's future.

Among the creators, some have chosen to express their perspectives through the lens. Here is the sixth collection of images they have showcased.

Boundless Bonds of Porcelain: Visiting the Xujiayao Ming and Qing Dynasty ceramics workshops in Taoyangli, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, two Italian university teachers, working in Jiangxi, had a hands-on experience with culture. A millennium of ceramic craftsmanship came to life at the ancient kiln site just by being able to pick up the unglazed porcelain blanks and running their fingers through the shapes of porcelain wares. It was a moment of tactile conversation between the two cultures, a sharing of stories and techniques, and a reminder of how respecting traditions and encouraging the exchange of wisdom can take root in daily activities. Our individual cultural inheritance is a living, breathing force for a sustainable future for all humanity. /Shi Weiming

Bangkok Streets: Portrait of a Gentleman: A mature motorcycle rider in a hi-vis vest stands on the side of the road in Bangkok. He wears a "56" license plate on his sleeve and his free spirit on his smile. Behind him, under a green umbrella, a fruit stand is bursting with tropical colors. The city pulses with every trader selling their wares, every traveler passing by, but also in the unsung work of every laborer that keeps society ticking along. It is the little everyday acts that make a city livable – and a civilization great. /Saoluoyede Shishu

Accompanied by Innocence: On the grassland, the lamb and the girl snuggle up to each other. This land full of vitality nurtures them. The two little lives snuggling together reveal the purest kind of dependence. The land quietly holds up this intimacy and also reminds us that every act of protecting the ecology not only sustains the lives in front of us but also enables more lives to share resources and beauty. Just as the global initiative emphasizes the spirit of green development and sharing, respecting nature and treating living beings kindly are the concrete practices for humans and the land to jointly move towards a sustainable future. We should protect this land with love and actions, so that every inch of land and every living being can continue to enjoy beauty in such harmony. /Lao Siyue

The Landscape Express: This photographic work showcases the magnificent scenery of the karst mountains in Yangshuo, Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The peaks rise and fall in succession, stretching layer upon layer towards the horizon. The clear lake reflects the blue sky and the shadows of clouds. A modern elevated railway spans across it, connecting various places. The picture integrates nature and humanity, presenting both the tranquility of the idyllic landscape and the power of transportation development. While the railway facilitates people's travel, it also reminds us that when pursuing development, we need to take ecological protection into account – green construction and intelligent planning enable human activities to coexist with the mountains and waters, leaving a sustainable homeland for future generations. /Yang Jingjun

Song of the Outskirts: Shot in Shiyan City, Hubei Province in 2025, it records the urban architecture and rural pastoral scenery in the same frame from a unique perspective, creating a wonderful contrast. The black-and-white color tone intensifies this sense of conflict, and the plain light and shadow set off the atmosphere. The image not only presents the daily life of the integration of urban and rural areas, but also reflects the thinking on how to balance development and ecology, innovation and sharing in the context of rapid urbanization – through reasonable planning and sustainable development, making the urban expansion and rural vitality support each other, sharing the convenience brought by modernization, and at the same time safeguarding the rhythm of nature and rural culture. /Guo Zhiyou

Water: Two little girls on the street are getting water from the picture on the wall to drink – they hope to remind people to cherish every drop of water! Their tiptoeing postures are elegant bows of human civilization – saluting the source of life. This is not a childish game, but an enlightenment lesson for the present from the future masters: when clear streams become exhibits in the picture frame, the real rivers are losing their blue skin. What they catch with their hands is not a mirage, but a tomorrow that has not yet been broken. In every drop of water that escapes thirst, there is a code to make the desert retreat and a power to make the sea level lower. This action reflects the concept of sustainable development: saving water and protecting water sources is not only a personal choice, but also a common responsibility of society, cities and even countries. It also echoes the green development emphasized in the global initiative-making resources be cherished in the present and enabling future generations to continue to enjoy the vitality of water. With the most innocent actions, the children have completed the most profound performance art about the future – getting water from the picture. This awakening of drawing water from the picture into a spring has rewritten the inertia of waste into the grammar of sustainable civilization. Every drop of cherished water is a tiny force against climate, land and ocean changes. Let us respond to this innocent warning with actions: protecting water sources is protecting life, and saving water is continuing civilization. Because the last drop of water on the earth should not be the tear of human remorse. /Zhang Hongwei

Dreams Come True: A cold wave hit, and the temperature dropped sharply. The female owner of a kitchenware wholesale store lit a fire in the street labor market in front of her store. Migrant female farmers who were waiting for opportunities in the cold wind gathered around to fulfill their dream of warmth together! A cluster of firelight illuminates the scale of social civilization. The charcoal fire basin in the cold wind measures the temperature of a city. What the female boss lit was not just charcoal, but also the protection of the dignity of workers; what the female workers gathered around was not just warmth, but also the expectation of fair opportunities. This faint light illuminates the path to poverty alleviation and also reflects the humanistic background of the times. Such warmth is particularly precious – it tells us that true sustainable development always takes the well – being of people as the core. Let this cluster of fire continue, spreading hope in the cold world and warming every struggling figure in the era of change. /Zhang Hongwei
