This year marks the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. This was the first complete victory for the Chinese nation in wars against aggression and for national liberation in modern times. It was a major event in the history of China and the world during the 20th century, and also a remarkable feat in the history of warfare.

British youth Alexey Lysenko is working and living in China. After learning about the 10 major battles of the war against Japanese aggression, including the Battle of Shanghai and the Battle of Nanking, he was deeply moved by the arduous and extraordinary efforts and tremendous sacrifices made by the Chinese people over 14 consecutive years. "My hope is that future generations inherit not just lessons of war, but the wisdom to prevent it. A peaceful world isn't a dream; it's a goal worth striving for together," Alexey said.
