To mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, CGTN joined hands with musicians and public figures from China, Japan, the UK, France, Italy and Jordan, together with a choir of primary and secondary school students from Beijing, to present the music video "Ode to Peace."

This project uses music as a bridge to transcend borders and deliver a shared message of humanity: may peace endure forever, and may every child grow up in a world free from fear and full of hope.

In the video, participants share their wishes for peace in their native languages, speaking with sincerity and conviction. The children performed an excerpt from "The Great Wall Ballad," a classic song composed in 1937 during the war. They evoke not only remembrance of history but also a profound yearning for a peaceful future.

May this song be a ray of sunlight illuminating corners near and far. May our collective belief help guide the world towards brighter days.
