As the UN confirmed famine in Gaza, CGTN spoke with Olga Cherevko, spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Cherevko said the Gaza famine is man-made and can only be prevented from worsening if more aid is allowed into the territory and barriers to delivery are removed. Cherevko stressed that only a permanent ceasefire can resolve the crisis.
