The draw for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League was made on Thursday at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, as 36 teams found out who their eight different opponents will be in the league phase.
Sweden's legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brazil's iconic midfielder Kaka took part in the ceremony. Title holders Paris St Germain will play Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the league stage format which started last season. The French giants will also meet Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United along with Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen.
Record 15-time winners Real Madrid will play Manchester City again and make a trip to Liverpool in what will be a homecoming for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who left Anfield to join Real in the summer. Los Blancos also take on Juventus at home while City will see the return of former play maker Kevin de Bruyne, as they will host the Belgian's new side Napoli. Last season's runners-up Inter Milan host Liverpool and Arsenal, and the Italian side will travel to Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid. The final will be staged at Budapest's Puskas Arena on May 30.
