Since its founding 24 years ago, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has grown into a vital force for stability and shared development. In today's multipolar world, as the Global South gains greater influence, the SCO faces both new challenges and fresh opportunities in shaping a fairer international order.
In this special edition of SCO Shoreline Talks, CGTN's Huang Jiyuan and Anastasia Lavrina, presenter at AnewZ (Azerbaijan), host a panel of international experts to discuss how the SCO is fostering cooperation, building trust, and advancing the "Shanghai Spirit" ahead of the upcoming Tianjin summit. The conversation highlights how the SCO is addressing the priorities of the Global South, narrowing development gaps, and strengthening South-South cooperation. It also examines expected outcomes of the summit, the complementarity between the SCO and the Belt and Road Initiative, and the organization's priorities for the next decade as the Global South continues to rise.
